CentralWorld Shopping Mall Party

Head to CentralWorld, the huge shopping mall in Bangkok, to enjoy a special festive evening alongside thousands of other revelers. Outside the mall, there are DJs and stages for live music, bars, food stalls, and vendors selling souvenirs. Enjoy the countdown and then watch the fireworks. You don’t need to worry about getting a cab back to your hotel as the BTS Sky Train is running after the festivities are over.

Asiatique

The Asiatique riverside night market is another popular Bangkok spot to watch the countdown and take part in the festivities. You have everything here – excellent restaurants for a special New Year’s feast, food stalls, live music, bars, a vibrant atmosphere and some amazing fireworks as the clock strikes 12. A good place for all the family to celebrate the start of a new year in Thailand.

Special River Cruise

For a night to remember, book your places on a river cruise to spend the final moments of 20xx on the river. There are plenty of river cruise packages available, many of them offering multi-course Thai dinner banquets, dancing, wine, and gifts. Some of them include celebrations at midnight while for others you disembark and see the New Year in at a restaurant or hotel. Expect dancing, luxury, and some great food – this is an unforgettable way to spend New Year’s Eve when you don’t mind spending a little extra money.

What better place to see the thousands of fireworks that are let off at midnight than at a rooftop bar in Bangkok? Enjoy cocktails and food in one of Bangkok’s finest bars with a great view. On New Year’s Eve, these places are particularly glitzy, with seven-course menus, special cocktails, dancing, DJs and more on offer. When midnight comes, you can watch the skyline explode with color and then continue dancing and drinking into the early hours.

Bars and Clubs on RCA

Royal City Avenue is a street in Bangkok where you can always find a party – and on New Year’s Eve, there’s no exception. Take your pick from a variety of bars and clubs offering something for everyone – live music, international DJs, pop, rock and more. If you can’t decide on one location then you can try several – all the venues are within easy reach of each other and you can normally get your hand stamped so you can pick and choose between a few. The street attracts a young crowd and you won’t get to bed until the early hours.

Romantic Dinner for Two

Of course, you may not want to party all night but instead, prefer to see in the New Year with your loved one. Many local restaurants and bars put on specials for New Year’s Eve which are good value and fun. Check out what’s on offer at one of Bangkok’s finest restaurants or go to your favorite local café for an intimate meal. Don’t forget to watch out for the fireworks at midnight. Once the New Year has arrived, try to take the train back to your hotel as taxis normally charge a much higher than the normal price for transport.
