A big part of enjoying a meal is the beauty of the surroundings. When the food is great, the best view creates an unforgettable dining experience. Luckily Phuket is a hilly island so you have plenty of chances to eat in a place that offers fantastic views over the ocean and the island itself.
Restaurants with a view in Phuket offer first class food along with excellent service – and they cater to all kinds of tastes. So the view won’t be the only thing you enjoy when you visit. Check out our top five recommended restaurants with views for a meal to remember in Phuket.
1) 360 Degrees
Located above Bangtao Beach, the name of the 360 Degrees restaurant gives you a good indication of the main selling point of this Phuket restaurant classic. Perched on top of the green hills overlooking the beach, the restaurant provides an excellent vista across the greenery as well as further out into the ocean. It is a stunning view, and the interior of the restaurant is just as attractive, should you want to take a glance at it.

360 Degrees is set on two levels and on the upper level is the main restaurant where the bar and the eating space are located. The décor is smart and stylish, with a sparkling bar and some interesting decorations. Plus, the view from the windows of the sunset and the twinkling lights of Phuket is worth the price of admission alone.
Lighting is from small, intimate lamps and the seating is comfortable and private. And the food is just as good as the view. Specialties include grilled prawn salads with mango and chili, lamb kebabs, smoked salmon rolls, steak, and some excellent wine delicacies. 360 Degrees draws people in with the view and ultimately leaves the satisfied with the food.
2) Diavolo Restaurant
The luxurious Diavolo restaurant is located in Paresa, a luxury resort in Kamala which attracts the wealthy and stylish clientele to stay. The sea below the restaurant is the backdrop to fine dining, and the sunset view from this restaurant is superb. You don’t have to spend a fortune staying at the resort to enjoy this great view and wonderful atmosphere.
The décor is lush and opulent in shades of gold and red, with wooden floors and a wide terrace overlooking the Andaman Sea. This view is virtually panoramic and certainly one of the more impressive vistas at a luxury resort restaurant.
The main dishes to mention at Diavolo are classic Italian but there are also Thai favorites on the menu and daily specials. The whole place is cool and atmospheric – a fine place to spend the evening.
3) The Royal Kitchen
The Royal Kitchen is located in the towering Royal Paradise Hotel, which is one of the tallest buildings in Patong Beach. The Royal Kitchen is a celebrated Chinese restaurant serving classic and contemporary dishes plus some excellent wines and spirits. But it is the view that attracts so many people to the Royal Kitchen. Get here early to grab a window seat over one of the best views in Patong.
4) Le Versace Restaurant Lounge Bar
The Versace restaurant also located in Patong Beach is not what you would call a small, tasteful and intimate restaurant – instead, it is big, brash and bordering on the kitsch. The décor is in-your-face, and the style is bold and over-the-top. And this restaurant is also high above any other restaurant in Patong in altitude. The highest Patong restaurant commands views across Patong beach and the town. The best time to visit and enjoy a meal or a cocktail is undoubtedly in the early evening so you can grab a seat as the sun sets.
The cuisine is French and the service is good here at Le Versace. The three-story restaurant certainly stands out from the crowd and you won’t forget a meal here – or the view – in a hurry.

5) Tung Ka Café
When you want a restaurant with a view in Phuket Town there is no better place to go than Tung Ka Café. While most Phuket restaurants with views are located on the scenic west coast, this is an exception to the rule. Enjoy a panorama of the hills of Phuket, with views over to Makham Bay and back to Chalong Bay, to the Big Buddha and into the Nakkerd Hills. The view from this restaurant is every bit as good as a west coast view, despite not being located by the sea. Tung Ka Café is set at the top of Rang Hill in Phuket Town.
