1) Dining on the Rocks

If you can’t live without dining under the stars while you are on Koh Samui, you must try the restaurant Dining on the Rocks. Located at Choeng Mon Beach, this restaurant is in a beautiful place and serves some beautiful food. A must-visit restaurant in Koh Samui.

2) Kob Thai Restaurant

If you are staying in Lamai you won’t want to miss the Kob Thai restaurant. There’s a menu of Thai food from traditional favorites to innovative seafood dishes and amazing spicy salads. Highly recommended if you like modern Thai food in excellent surroundings.

3) Red Snapper

If you want to eat in relaxed, laid-back surroundings with a bit of live music or a sports game on the big screen, give Red Snapper a try. Part of the Koh Samui Chaweng Regent Beach Resort, Red Snapper is fun and lively but the food is also delicious. You can relax in the comfortable chairs while you watch the crowds on Chaweng Beach. Don’t forget to order a few cold beers with your meal.

4) Zazen’s Restaurant

This restaurant located in Bophut offers fine food in classy surroundings and has won awards for its service and its cuisine. The restaurant serves traditional Thai fare from around the country and provides a stylish, atmospheric dining atmosphere. Perfect for a special occasion as the prices are not cheap, but it is worth it for the experience.

5) Zico’s

A different concept from many of the fine-dining choices on Koh Samui, Zico’s serves up a delicious barbecue style feast with fresh salad and plenty of cocktails. You can also benefit from the entertainment on offer.

6) H Bistro at Hansar Samui

Looking for some excellent French/ Mediterranean cuisine? Look no further than H Bistro, located in Bophut featuring award-winning food and a long wine list. The dishes are expertly prepared and the ambiance is top-notch. Worth a visit when you are on the island.

7) Barracuda Restaurant

Located in Bophut, Koh Samui, the Barracuda Restaurant is well worth a visit for its inventive menu and its focus on fine dining and innovative cuisine. The food is mainly based on a fusion of European and Asian favorites, with a modern twist. The prices are OK, and the restaurant is well-designed and welcoming.

8) 9Gems Lounge Restaurant

This lounge/bar restaurant is set on the hillside leading out of the main town of Chaweng. The minimalist space is like an art installation and you can relax with a meal or a drink looking out over the panoramic vista. A great place for sunset cocktails or a light meal before going out in Chaweng.

9) Tree Tops

When you are looking for a unique dining experience you can’t beat Tree Tops – with only eight tables, each one inside its own individual tree house, you get a great meal in unforgettable surroundings.

10) Café 69

A cute and friendly little place on the Samui Ring Road, Café 69 serves up a variety of modern dishes influenced by a southern Thai taste. The modern place is a good location for drinks and snacks as well as meals.

11) The Boudoir

With opulent surroundings and décor, The Boudoir is a smart and stylish restaurant serving French cuisine and a variety of wines and spirits. The restaurant is decorated with all sorts of silks and satins, embroidery and cushions – much different to the current trend for minimalist restaurant design.

12) Shabash Restaurant

On Big Buddha Beach, Shabash Restaurant serves fusion food with a range of diverse influences from Thailand, India, Singapore and more. If you want an interesting taste of Asia, this is the place to go.

Located right in the heart of Chaweng Beach, Stacked features all the North American favorites you need. Try the signature burgers and get there for Happy Hour to take advantage of cheap drinks.
