Best Restaurants in Kamala Beach

1) Silk Restaurant

Located within the luxury Andara Resort & Villas complex, Silk Restaurant is a beautiful property overlooking the gorgeous bay of Kamala. The décor is characterized by natural materials, opulent teak wood, and beautiful furnishings, with an open-air terrace as well as an air-conditioned dining room to enjoy depending on your mood.  Silk Restaurant serves beautifully presented, gourmet Thai food with an emphasis on high-quality ingredients and attention to detail. The presentation is lovely and the restaurant is great for a special romantic meal or to celebrate something.

2) Grill Bill Restaurant & Lounge

Grill Bar is a local chain with different restaurants all across the country and Asia. The one in Kamala is a small restaurant with 36 seats and is designed in muted contemporary tones with sleek wooden furniture and exposed concrete walls. The food is traditional American –think burgers, barbecue, and ribs – as well as Italia with pizza and pasta. There is plenty of meat on the menu, in fact, you can choose from meat dishes from around the world although there is no Thai food on the menu.

3) Plum Restaurant

Cape Sienna Phuket, the luxury Koh Samui resort complex located at the southern end of Kamala, is one of the most desirable resorts in the area. Plum Restaurant is one of four dining choices within the resort and is one of the best in the region. The restaurant is modern with great views over the ocean – another prime sunset spot. The food is Mediterranean fusion with some quirky takes on modern classics.

4) Diavolo Restaurant

Diavolo is one of the best-known restaurants in Koh Samui and is located in the Paresa Resort. This luxury hotel is situated on the cliffside overlooking the beaches. Diavolo serves Italian food and a range of fine dining dishes. The views are amazing over the ocean and it is a prime spot for some sunset cocktails before your meal. The whole place is stylish without being intimidating, with welcoming staff and excellent presentation. There are also Thai dishes available if you prefer the taste of traditional foods.

5) Basilico Italian Hotel & Restaurant

This modern Kamala classic is popular without being pretentious. There are a nice dining room and an appealing terrace for outdoor eating. On the menu are international favorites like pizza and pasta, along with French dishes and Thai food. Prices are a little higher than at other similar restaurants but the ingredients are really fresh and often imported.

6) Chez Ratatouille

The small Thai restaurant Chez Ratatouille is on the main road within Kamal itself and is renowned for its excellent Thai food, including popular favorites like som tam koong (spicy shrimp soup), tom ka kai (chicken in coconut milk), and dim sum. The atmosphere is low-key and relaxed, and the prices are fair.

7) Manubai Restaurant Lounge-Bar

Manubai Restaurant is one of the favorite dining spots in Kamala. There is a main dining room on the first floor, decked out in a colonial traditional style, with a lounge and bar area upstairs designed in more contemporary tones. The restaurant and lounge bar serves classy Thai food as well as French-inspired dishes and the service is great, with highly generous portion sizes. You’ll love your visit to this popular Kamala classic.

8) Two Chefs Bar & Grill

The Two Chefs is one of the many branches of this successful chain serving a wide range of international food – everything from fish and chips to Thai curry, Mexican fajitas to Swedish meatballs. It’s a great place to relax and have fun.
